 You probably won't hear this anywhere else, but the reason public media is so down on homeschooling has nothing to do with socialization. It has to do with the fact that the public school system is socially engineering you to become a social stooge of the system. I was raised in public schools, and remember the first time I heard socialism coming out of a teacher's mouth was in the seventh grade. I thought, there is something wrong with this guy. It became a theme with the entire public school system and Me.

Sometimes people say, it's so sad that there's such a stigma with the lack of socialization you receive in homeschooling. I say back, you get plenty of socialization at home, all public schools do is teach you how to put up with the ship from the other kids and the system. 

Our society places a lot of value on putting up with ship.
